Andy
Andy is originally from Tecumseh, Michigan. He attended college at the University of Toledo and then moved to Los Angeles, where he met Shira, and now resides in Tampa. He is a lover of film, videography, and photography – he started his own YouTube channel at the age of 14 and has been making movies ever since. He is also a film technology enthusiast and enjoys learning about camera gear of all kinds, both new and antique! Currently, Andy works as the Communications Coordinator at a local church. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and listening to podcasts about history, sociology, psychology, music, and politics. If you’re in the market for a good podcast, he will likely recommend the Ezra Klein Show, the FiveThirtyEight Politics Podcast, or Hello Internet. He also enjoys watching The Good Place, Grey’s Anatomy, and South Park with Shira.
Shira
Shira is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She has lived in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and currently resides in Tampa. For the past several years, she has been deeply involved in the Mad Pride and disability justice movements, which advocate for societal acceptance and destigmatization of disability and psychological/emotional difference. She is currently a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Troy University’s Tampa campus, and she hopes to dedicate her career to creating spaces in which people can express their thoughts and feelings and be their true selves without fear of judgment. In her spare time, she enjoys podcasting and co-hosting the “Anti-Small Talk” meetup with Andy.
